Happy 3rd Birthday!

Esme and Ellerie blessed our world on March 4, 2011 at 7:27pm and 7:48pm!

"On the night you were born,
the moon shone with such wonder
that the stars peeked in
to see you
and the night wind whispered,
'Life will never be the same.'

Because there had never been
anyone like you...
ever in the world."

Happy 3rd Birthday to my wonderful little blessings! I love you more than you'll ever know!

Goosewaddle Blanket Set Review & Giveaway

***Note: This Giveaway is closed. The winner announcement can be found HERE.

We have a "thing" for blankets in our house. I think it started with me and now my girls share the love of cuddling with blankets. I'm not sure my husband quite understands, but that's ok. ;) One of my favorite Fall-Winter "activities" is cuddling up in a soft blanket, sipping hot cocoa or tea and watching a good movie.

My girls have received many blankets and quilts, starting before they were born. People bought them blankets, sewed them quilts, crocheted/knitted blankets and we even had a few blankets handed down. They have a lot of amazing blankets (many that will be treasured forever).

When GooseWaddle contacted me, asking if I would host a review/giveaway, I immediately noticed the satin trimmed blankets and knew they would be a hit with my girls. Then, I starting thinking about all the blankets/quilts my girls own and realized that they have never owned a fuzzy plush blanket like the ones they offer.

When the GooseWaddle box arrived on my doorstep, I could hardly contain my excitement. The box is adorable!

When I opened it, I was even more excited. Everything arrived all wrapped up and presented as a gift. I absolutely love it when a company adds little details to the presentation of their products...the box, the tags, the ribbons, the card...LOVE! Even before I touched the blankets I was impressed!

Esme and Ellerie were equally excited about the contents of the box. They immediately began discussing who was going to sleep with what (they're usually pretty good with sharing). Ellerie chose the full size blanket and Esme the small blankie. They have decided they are going to share the goose.

When we pulled the pink blankets out of their packaging, I was instantly impressed! I have to tell you, these are the softest blankets in our house. We washed the blankets, they washed just fine and I think they are even softer after washing! One thing that really stands out to me with these blankets is that they have two layers of plushness (compared to other similar products with only one thin layer), and even with the two layers, they are still lightweight. And the satin trim...love it! I think I need one in my size!

We received a full size Baby Blanket (29"x35") and a mini Baby Blankie (14"x14") in pink. In addition to the wonderfully soft blankets, we received an absolutely adorable GooseWaddle plush toy. The little goose, adorned with adorable little foam/fabric glasses, makes this whole set complete. What a fabulous gift!

In addition to adorable packaging and fabulous products, the company gives back with each purchase. For every blanket purchased, GooseWaddle will donate a receiving blanket to a child in need as part of their "Buy 1, Give 1" Campaign. How cool is that?

But wait...there's more...GooseWaddle is going to send one lucky reader a blanket set (full size and mini) in their color choice, as well as the adorable plush goose toy. You don't have to be pregnant or have a new baby to win. Perhaps you know someone who is expecting...it would make an excellent gift. My toddlers love these blankets (although, I wish I had them when they were babies)...or maybe you secretly want the set for yourself. ;)

Heart Braid

On Valentine's Day, Esme told me she wanted a heart in her hair. I decided to attempt a heart shaped braid. Although not a perfect heart, she was happy with it. I'll have to practice a little more and maybe it'll be a little easier when her hair grows longer. Poor Ellerie...her hair is still too short for braids.

Here's Esme's "heart."
